2021 in Review: Our Most Beloved Spaces

SHARE

After the many perils of 2020, it was expected 2021 was a time for transformation, starting in the place where most have spent the greatest amount of time, the home. Throughout the past year we’ve witnessed a theme of those creating a change of scenery in their personal spaces, in order evoke calm and joy as a sense of escapism from the tumultuous outside world.

As the pandemic continued and many were inspired to make changes in their living spaces, we were overjoyed to come across an extensive number of truly jaw-dropping installations – all interpreting our product in innovative ways catering to a variety of design styles.

While it was not an easy task, we’ve narrowed down 10 of our most favorite (and yours too!) tile moments of 2021.

Subway Tile Who?

Ivy Dolomite (H&P), Design: Fiori Interior Design, Photo: Mike Van Tassell

A remix to the traditional subway tile backsplash, Ivy Dolomite pays homage to the beauty of an all-white kitchen with an unexpected shape. This marble mosaic combines both honed and polished finishes, adding luxe texture and dimension to this show-stopping backsplash.

We wouldn’t mind taking the weekend to lounge in this spa-like master bath. Luminous Beam Calacatta with Gold is layed perfectly to capture the eye and create the ultimate accent wall, instantly becoming a focal point in the bathroom of our dreams.

Ocean Blues

Inspired by heavy rain streaking down a pane of glass, Immersion Awash Voyage Blue creates a calming, serene backsplash in this quaint powder room. Stacking this glass tile vertically lends to a modern feel, creating the illusion of an elongated wall in a smaller space.

A Neutral Oasis

Beacon Brilliance Calico (G) Art Glass, Design: Strauss House Designs, Tile Dealer: Sideli Tile and Stone

This bathroom was a project to rave about, using one of our newest collections, Beacon. Warmly complementing this neutral primary bath, Beacon Brilliance Calico Art Glass adds a visually impactful feature wall, extending into a walk-in shower.

Stunning Fireplace Surround

This high-glam fireplace using Excalibur Joust Gilded adds an instant glow to this living space. The lustrous metallic tone of this metal tile easily incorporates the gold lighting fixtures and decorative accents throughout the room, creating a seamless and decorative conversational piece. Chevron But Make It Luxe

Luminous Ray Calacatta (H & P & Combed), Design: Ciuffo Cabinetry, Photo: Marco Ricca

One of our top-performing Instagram posts of the year, this kitchen install is a space that might just inspire a renovation out of pure envy. Luminous Ray adds texture by mixing honed, polished, and combed finishes, in a luxurious Calacatta marble, resulting in a enchanting backsplash.

Entertaining in Style

Hoshi White Haze (P), Design: Twelve Chairs Interiors, Photo: Joy Elle West

We love a good transformation story, and this Boston townhouse embodies the perfection of mixing modern and tradition. Hoshi White Haze marble mosaic offers a fresh canvas to the rich blue hues and brassy accents in this exquisitely, sophisticated wet bar.

Marble Meets Metal

Ethereal Luna, Design: Sienna & Sage, Photo: Andrew Giammarco

The stainless-steel inlay and geometric shapes within Ethereal Luna bring a femininity and softness of traditional style into an otherwise, modern space. Read more about this downtown Seattle condo renovation here.

Go for the Gold

Our Ethereal collection packs a serious punch in this powder room. Mixing various Calacatta with Brass products within this collection results in an accent wall that packs a serious punch.

High Shine, High Style

Origin Misty Gray offers a sense of calm and sophistication with its glossy finish perfectly catching the light in this walk-in shower. This ceramic tile draws inspiration from centuries of beloved ceramic subway tiles, while lending a touch of modernity to spaces thanks to its chic muted hue and herringbone layout.
