Allure Collection

SHARE

The Allure collection, which was launched in 2014, soared immediately to the top of AKDO’s best-seller list, where it remains to this day. AKDO Creative Director Kate Sterling was inspired by the influx of geometric shapes and metallic details emerging in fashion and interior design at the time. These geometrics have since entered the design vernacular across the board, and are expected to remain strong, even entering the realm of timeless, classic decorative themes, making Allure a perfect choice for the built environment. Allure consists of mosaics, borders and a very distinctive mosaic “rug”.

White Haze marble is the new, softer alternative for a chic look. Allure radiance borders create carpets to define the island and breakfast areas.

In Allure, astonishingly tiny channel-set mosaic pieces lend a couture look to the patterns. Inspired by the great jewelry houses of Paris, these gem-like accents are placed in fine lines to create subtle yet glamorous geometric patterning. In some styles, the sparkling bits are mirror blended in bronze, pewter and silver tones, creating a luxurious tone-on-tone metallic sparkle. The all-stone versions of the patterns speak to more subtle, refined taste, and feature tiny accents of contrasting marbles in gentle taupe and gray colorways.

Since its launch, Allure has found its way into several high profile designer show houses, onto the editorial pages of major shelter titles, and the collection has been honored with design awards. It is consistently one of the most engaging images on AKDO’s social media pages, and has been specified by leading interior designers nationwide.

The Allure collection is suited for both residential and hospitality applications, and may be used for eye-catching backsplashes, focal walls, and floor details. Complementary borders are also available for all of the mosaic patterns. These act as accent pieces, tying the look of a room together in the same way jewelry is used to complete an outfit.
